Walkabout Lady expected to be strong in Boyneside Kennels A1/A2 550 Semi-Final

Walkabout Lady will be the one to beat in the Boyneside Kennels A1/A2 550 Semi-Final at Harold?s Cross in Ireland on Monday, September 10, 2012. She has been performing extremely well in recent times, thus her opponents will have to be at their best in order to come anywhere closer to her in the end.

The 550 yard flat race, which is scheduled to start at 21:25 GMT, will test the stamina of all the runners. The winner will get a cash prize of ?50 from the Grade A1 event and the spectators will be hoping for an exciting contest.

All the greyhounds have been trained well and they have the ability to be strong at this level, but the one who handles pressure well will have the edge over others. Moreover, all of them are quite young and energetic, which will spice up things more.

However, it will be important for the greyhounds to preserve some stamina for the end of the race. If they try to push too hard at the start, there is a chance that they will lose a lot of ground towards the end.

According to the bookies, the real competition will be amongst Oran Major and Tornaroy Taliban, as they are extremely talented. The latter of the two does not seem to have any chances though, as he has been struggling for consistency since making debut. He will not find it easy to get the attention of the punters.

On the other hand, Oran Major is carrying the winning momentum right now, thus he will be full of confidence. He does not have a lot of experienced though and will be under some pressure to meet the expectations of the bookies.

However, Walkabout Lady has represented her team in quite a few events, which means that she has got a slight upper hand over her opponents, as she is a touch more experienced.

The Flynn?s trained bitch has got a very good record at Harold?s Cross and she recently recorded a hat-trick of victories at this venue. However, she was unable to make a strong impression in her most recent race, which will put her under pressure.
